What is talent intelligence?

Talent intelligence is structured, objective evidence about people: leadership capability, potential, readiness and fit, gathered through validated assessment and diagnostics rather than impressions. It does for people decisions what financial analysis does for capital decisions.

Why it matters

Senior appointments, succession calls and development investments are among the most consequential — and least evidenced — decisions organisations make. Talent intelligence replaces advocacy with analysis, and makes people decisions defensible to Boards, regulators and the people they affect.

What good practice looks like

  1. Measure against future role demands, not incumbent profiles or generic models.
  2. Triangulate: behavioural observation, psychometrics, stakeholder perspective and track record — no single lens decides.
  3. Design every output for the decision it supports: a Board paper, a succession call, an investment case.
  4. Treat assessment data with the confidentiality and governance senior evidence deserves.

Every transformation begins with understanding
